My Dad and I went to see the 9:35pm showing of Troy. We tried paying with the automated credit card rejecter next to the ticket booth, but of course that thing never works in NJ, so went to the booth. There was a long line because not only was the lady handing the tickets, but she was also ripping them--this involves precise time-consuming calculations. We got into our theatre at 9:40. When we walked in, the movie had already started and we sat down. An hour later, we were totally enjoying the movie though the plot seemed to demand too much prior knowledge to the actual events at Troy. moments later, the lights turned on and the credits came up and my dad and I wondered why this two and a half hour movie was done in an hour. When we left the theatre and looked around the corner, we saw, hiding in the corner of the building, our 9:35 showing of Troy (as opposed to the 7:45 showing we walked into unknowingly). The ticket lady laughed at us as she cleaned up pre-chewed popcorn from the floor. We were going to go into that theatre to watch it, but we were already an hour into the movie--we'd only be seeing the middle and the end; like a Quentin Tarantino movie. I still have yet to see the first 2/3 of this movie.
