Raquel Fernandes, writer, has done extensive work as an author, editor and journalist. Her research interests include Shakespeare plays, poetry and 19th century English literature.

In 2007, she became the Chief Editor of Arts & Entertainment for The Tower newspaper. Her articles have been called "insightful" and "a fresh breath of reality in a classical world".

Raquel's poems have appeared in several collections including the International Library of Poetry. A published collection of her works including some of her short stories is in production.

Raquel is currently pursuing a B.A. in English with a concentration in writing from Kean University. She has received much acclaim for her work as an Honors Scholar and has worked closely with the English Department faculty to direct her research.
