Program Note:gravity
is a single-movement work for string quartet composed between
September and November of 2009. It is a primarily tonal work
based largely on the opening cello theme.
Program Note:Granitic Plots is
an acoustic work for guitar and viola. The piece was arranged
especially for the guitar and viola ensemble Duo Fresco from an
earlier work, Optical String (2007), for electric guitar
and a laser-controlled software system. The excerpt below was
performed by Duo Fresco on Aug 2, 2009.
