Hole In Me

lyrics music lead guitar vocals by VJ Manzo; guitar JP Sosa; bass Chris Manzo; drums Steve Paul

I saw a picture of you must be my point of view 'cause all I see is scenery nothing's in focus I asked a question about you they don't know what to do with ambiguity they answer me is there an answer I've tried so hard to fix it but it never goes away I've tried so hard to fix it this hole in me I heard some words about you I don't know what I'll do it's clear to see it won't be me who gets this working I saw the message on the wall I don't know what it's all about for me to fill a need I've got inside me

Transition

music classical guitar  by VJ Manzo

[instrumental]

Way That Things Should Be

lyrics music lead guitar vocals by VJ Manzo; guitar JP Sosa; bass Chris Manzo; drums Steve Paul

Sometimes it’s scary and it bothers me the way that I can’t see And I don’t know where it takes me And it bothers me --that I should walk blindly But that’s the way that things should be I know it’s cold outside and I can see the path you’ve got for me But I don’t know where it takes me I can’t see too far ahead of me, but you say you can see And that’s the way that things should be And you’re the one that I can talk to most And you’re the one that I adore And you’re the one that’s always helping me to see so help me please  that’s the way that things should be I don’t believe it  that’s the way that things should be I just don’t see it that’s the way that things should be Sometimes I like to take my own path the path that looks so nice But I don’t like where it takes me So I’ll pick and choose to stick your path as blindly as I walk that’s the way that things should be

Fill Me Now

lyrics by Rachel Paul; music classical guitar JP Sosa

I'm searching here, I'm searching there. For love in all of these places When what I find is nothing real, I turn to you and realize, There's nothing like your love Your love is something that I cannot understand, All I know is that it's what I need to fill the emptiness Fill me now, My heart is open Lord, Fill me now, with your love. In your presence is where I am As you hold me in your arms Your love becomes so real to me And now I know, It's all I need

Means the World

lyrics music classical guitars vocals and background vocals by VJ Manzo

Thanks for always smiling through the pain they put you through thanks for always trying when I didn't know what to do You did what you had to do You chose what you had to choose though no one saw you and it doesn't really mean a lot to you and it doesn't really mean a lot to you but to me to me to me it means the world Thanks for never laughing when I though you'd laugh at me thanks for not reacting when I acted foolishly thanks for always being when I needed to be home thanks for never leaving when I asked to be alone

Calm

music lead guitar  by VJ Manzo; piano Jason Disarro; guitar JP Sosa; bass Chris Manzo; drums Steve Paul

[instrumental]

Storm

lyrics music lead guitar vocals by VJ Manzo; piano Jason Disarro; guitar JP Sosa; bass Chris Manzo; drums Steve Paul

We stand for freedom in the land bought by the nail that's in his hand we don't believe the things we see when we believe he set us free and by His blood he set us free throw it [her?] and rob the thief by His blood we overcome the things we see

One Desire

lyrics vocals by Rachel Paul; music lead guitar guitar JP Sosa; background vocals Helena DiSarro, Cheryl Botelho, Cait Clancy; guitar VJ Manzo; piano Jason Disarro;  bass Chris Manzo; drums Steve Paul

As I walk through life's many troubles I strive to see, if the journey's doubled. I'm on my knees, and I'm crying out to Thee Where are you? Where are you? Lord. So many questions, but where are the answers? I feel I'm going down a road to nowhere This is when I need you the most But I can't see you, I can't see you Where are you? Lord, take me to our secret place Lord, how I long to see your awesome face Lord, I want to fly higher and higher-higher 'Cause you are my one desire 'Cause you are my one desire I know you said that you'd never leave me alone And I believe your word that keeps me strong As I pray, and sing you this love song I have found that you were there all along You held my hand through that dark, dark valley When I thought there was no hope for me Because of you, my cry has changed Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord.

Here I Am

lyrics music lead guitar  by VJ Manzo; vocals Kristen Botelho; piano Jason Disarro; guitar JP Sosa; bass Chris Manzo; drums Steve Paul

Here I am I wait for you waiting on you to rescue me here I am I'm lost again waiting on you to rescue me and I will wait on you I will wait on you

Story Teller

lyrics music classical guitars vocals and background vocals by VJ Manzo

When I was young I used to hear those stories call out from my bookshelf I could see them all and while the people in those stories went away they'll live forever telling stories of their day I know I can live forever but it's high low until the day I do and who's gonna tell my story who's gonna share my pain who's gonna take the words that the [this?] storyteller says and all I want is to be a hero in my league to live the way I know believe what I believe to carry on my story as far as it may go and if I must to be the here no one knows

Requiem

lyrics music lead guitar classical guitar vocals by VJ Manzo; guitar and E-bow JP Sosa; bass Chris Manzo; drums Steve Paul

Go there now to your place done is what it needs to be for now it's just some time before what's gone is gone and all my life agreed to do away with all the things I thought I'd hold so tightly even more I know I still believe I've lost the things I'll soon receive though today I hold an empty hand these things I know one day I'll stand Go there now to the place where all is still where there is nowhere else for you to go time is running short and you have none to kill and this is all of refuge you can know for a time must come in everybody's path where things cannot continue in themselves so you sacrifice and wait for outside hands 'cause you know your only chance of being helped

Clear Blue - Clear Blue (self-titled)

Our first attempt at an album. The four of us (me, Chris, JP & Steve) were currently playing as the house band at Kairos Café so we had worked up a good number of original tunes that we wanted to put on an album. I had some worship tunes that were being played at our Church that we could stick on the album. JP had some too. That was basically our game plan: release an album because we need to take a project from start to finish--it was our best shot at blessing as many people as possible without actually going to their house and playing in their living room--we'd send the CD. That's what I thought anyway.

Well, we found Clearcut Recording Studio because that's where Kristen had been recording an album with Remnant. Subsequently, I had done some recording there for some projects that were being done by my Church. We began recording in July of 2000.

We had no real money, so the little money we had from playing gigs went to cover a few hours of the studio time, and the rest went onto my credit card, which I didn't finish paying off until we were half way done with the second album titles. I remember getting my paychecks from work, and taking out enough to pay tithes and offering and gas. We had this idea that we could save money by practicing the songs really hard and recorded the tracks while we played them live instead of one instrument at a time. We would then record the vocals on a separate day, so that they wouldn't distract the progress--we wanted to be in and out. It was a great idea, but it wasn't practical for us.

The four of us got in and banged out 'Hole In Me' followed by 'Way that things Should Be' and then I finished up with 'Storyteller'. It took us about 2 hours to finish those songs. We had a strong start but the whole album took about 21 hours in the studio. After 2 reels and the studio time and 500 CD duplication, it cost $2381.35. That also excluded the cost of Whoppers at the Burger King near the studio in Saddlebrook, NJ. The copyright fees cost another $30 per song.

We had a CD release party, but the overall album sales weren't as good as we needed to break even. I spent the last of my money paying for the copyright fees to cover those songs. I even swiped money from my older bro to send our album out to record labels and radio stations--back when I used to actually care about that. Making this CD available through our site for purchase or download was really my objective. I just wanted my stuff to get out there because I thought it could help people--I figured radio play or a label could do that. Too bad about the syndication...and the fact that it excludes me and my band. I even looked into TAXI (if you know what that is). We needed to do this album for a lot of reasons--I believe it was a success, and I love it. To the Glory of God.
